On 1 January 2025, EXR’s subscription prices will rise. Rowers with an active subscription that runs through the end of 2024 will enjoy the old pricing for their first renewal in 2025. Learn more about the upcoming changes in this Q&A with CEO Alfred.
Question: Alfred, why are the prices increasing?
To keep the promise of making EXR the best indoor rowing app, we need to ensure that its development is sustainable. While a price increase is hardly welcome, we’ve put in a lot of effort to keep it competitive. And I promise you that this will be the only price change in the next years. Plus, we added an exclusive deal for existing EXR subscribers to continue rowing for the old price (more on this below). Compared to other sports apps, extra options like our family plan and the 6-month plan grant you more flexibility to help you save money. As this change rolls out and the EXR Community continues to grow, I want to thank you for your ongoing support.
Q: A fair price increase always comes with additional content. What new features can subscribers expect in 2025?
EXR is going to expand in many exciting ways. Based on your feedback, we plan on adding pace partners, more rowing locations, extra group rowing event types like open competitions and support for more rowing machines. You can also expect an expansion of social features like in-game expressions and better following options. Besides all of these highlights, we’re constantly working on innovative ways to improve the current experience to make your indoor rowing training more effective and engaging.
Q: What are the new subscription prices?
The prices for all subscriptions will increase by €2 or the equivalent in your local currency. Here is a list of all the old pricing and the new subscription prices starting January 1, 2025, in various currencies:

Q: You mentioned that EXR rowers with an active subscription can save money. How does claiming this deal work?
We want to reward our loyal subscribers by offering them an exclusive deal. If you have an active subscription through the end of the year, your first renewal in 2025 will be at the old and discounted price. Afterwards, the new rate is applied. For example, if you start your yearly subscription in October 2024, you’ll pay the old, lower price when it renews in October 2025.

I recommend keeping an eye on our partners to not miss out on EXR discounts.
