Bring the holiday spirit to your indoor rowing sessions! Decorated trees and snowy landscapes set the festive scene in EXR’s December update. Take on the Holiday Challenge by completing a Row in the Snow event and unlock exclusive seasonal gear for your avatar. To make your training more intuitive, the workout instructions have been upgraded.
New
Upgraded Heads-Up-Display
The HUD has been upgraded and partially revised to provide more clarity and increase its readability. This includes an improved high-contrast mode and a better visualization of the training instructions.
Holiday Badge 2024 and special events
Celebrate the season with EXR’s Holiday Badge 2024, 3 Row in the Snow events and the Final Row of the Year event! During the Row in the Snow events, you’ll explore the Henley-on-Thames winter wonderland. Complete one of the Row in the Snow or the final events to unlock the Holiday Badge 2024 and get access to jolly holiday items for your avatar. You can find a list of all unlockable items below.
New holiday items and striped socks
New items have been added to celebrate the holidays in style. The Santa hat has been reworked to replace its old version. It is now locked behind the Holiday Badge 2024 mentioned above. Users who already purchased it before the December update automatically have access to the new Santa hat.
- Elf hat: unlock for 1500 X-Coins.
- Elf suit: unlock for 2500 X-Coins.
- Elf shoes: unlock for 750 X-Coins.
- Santa hat: unlock for 750 X-Coins.
Striped socks are fashionable every day of the year. Complete your look with the new socks coming in red/green or red/white that you can purchase from level 9 for 250 X-Coins.
Active rower counter for featured routes
As many of you requested, EXR now features an active rower indicator for the daily featured routes in Just Row and Training Mode.

- Improved the Santa hat item and locked it behind the Holiday Badge 2025.
- Improved the nearby rowers list to feature more rowers and become scrollable.
- Improved the EXR watermark for screenshots.
- Join a friend’s session without having your rowing machine connected.
- Sped up the Salty Lemon Entertainment logo when starting the app.
- Added mobile notifications for weekly streaks.
- Improved visuals for training portals.
- Added more item sets including the Dangerous Waters set, the Halloween set and the Holiday set.
Fixed
- Fixed a bug that caused stormy weather in the desert area of EXR World.
- Fixed FTP input in player profile card.
