The first ever EXR Invitational is challenging you for the most important 5K indoor rowing race of your life! Qualify in one of EXR’s Qualifier Group Races from 23 October to 8 November to race for fantastic cash prizes on 7 December in Birmingham.

The EXR Invitational will be held on 7 December 2025 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. It is organized as part of the British Rowing Indoor Championships and FitFest.
- Register early at the EXR booth from 2 PM until 4 PM.
- You can warm up directly before the race on Concept2 rowing machines.
- The races start at 5 PM followed by the podium ceremony.
What can you win at the EXR Invitational?
All participants of the EXR Invitational in Birmingham will receive a goodie bag and a finalist medal. The top 3 women and the top 3 men will receive the following cash prizes offered by EXR:
- Third place: £250
- Second place: £500
- First place: £1000
All costs and logistics, including visa, travel, transportation, accommodation, and food and beverage, are not covered by EXR or British Rowing.
What else do I need to know?
On race day, participants will enjoy free entry to the FitFest 2025. Spectators will need to purchase a spectator ticket.
The Invitational is going to feature Concept2 rowing machines and EXR with the speed calculation setting: rower data.
Only racers who qualified and confirmed their participation will have a reserved spot.
All participants are going to receive an email with more details in the week of the EXR Invitational.
What is the EXR Invitational?
The EXR Invitational is a 5K race hosted by British Rowing and EXR. It brings the virtual indoor rowing community together to compete live at the British Rowing Indoor Championships.
