EXR turns five: birthday rewards and a lower price

EXR turns five on September 9! Five years of virtual rowing, new places to explore, workouts to crush, PRs to chase and, most importantly, an ever-growing community of rowers.

We couldn’t let our fifth birthday pass without celebrating with you. That’s why our biggest update of the year launches on September 9, kicking off five days of birthday celebrations with exclusive loyalty items and a special birthday event.

And there’s more good news: from September 14, we’re lowering the price of our six-month subscription.

Celebrate with us from September 9–13

Our birthday celebration runs from September 9 through September 13, 2026. During these five days, simply complete a rowing session in EXR and you’ll automatically unlock the complete EXR Loyalty Item Set. Your new birthday gear is then yours to keep.

The set includes:

• Loyalty Crown – because turning five deserves a crown.
• Loyalty Suit – a special birthday outfit for your avatar.
• Loyalty Blade Design – complete the look with matching birthday blades.

Join our 5th birthday event and earn a special badge

What’s a birthday without celebrating together? As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’re hosting a special EXR 5th birthday event where the community can hit the virtual water together. Join the event and complete the row to add an exclusive 5th birthday badge to your collection. It’s a one-time reward created for our fifth anniversary, so be sure to line up at the start.

What changes on September 14?

Our birthday celebration may end on September 13, but the Loyalty Set is here to stay. From September 14, the complete Loyalty Set becomes an exclusive perk of our yearly EXR subscription. Anyone purchasing a yearly plan from that date will automatically unlock the Loyalty Crown, Loyalty Suit and Loyalty Blade Design.

The Loyalty Set will remain a permanent benefit of the yearly subscription going forward.

Our six-month subscription is getting cheaper

The birthday rewards aren’t the only change coming in September. Starting September 14, 2026, we’re lowering the price of our six-month subscription from €11.95 to €10.95 per month. And this isn’t a temporary birthday promotion. The new price becomes the regular price of the six-month plan from September 14 onwards.

Already have a six-month subscription?

Already on a six-month plan? The lower price will automatically apply to your next billing cycle on or after September 14. You don’t need to cancel, resubscribe or make any changes to your account. Any subscription period you’ve already paid for remains unchanged, and the new price will apply when your next six-month billing period begins.
